Our Story

We are a two person team, Ann Marie and zaybra Thurgood, working with plants and flowers in Bovina Center, NY.

Old Soul Botanicals began with Ann Marie’s love of flowers and years of gardening and tending the land in Bovina Center. Ann Marie studied plant and soil science at West Virginia University and went on to become a Registered Nurse. Ann Marie’s passion and care for the land aligned with her interest in helping others bring healing to their bodies is where Old Soul Botanicals is birthed. Ann Marie raised her three children on the rural land of Bovina; the youngest of whom is joining her on this Botanicals journey. zaybra grew up barefoot in the garden next to their mother, snacking on string beans and occasionally pulling weeds. zaybra received a BFA in Dance and comes to their herbal practice with a somatic lens.  Ann Marie and zaybra experience healing, wholeness and fulfillment from working together and sharing the plants they love with others.
